What is Creator Camp?
You may read a brief history of CreatorCamp, but here it is in a nutshell:
CreatorCamp is a half-day event focused on creativity, ideas, and sharing knowledge about creative pursuits. Whether you create media (audio and video), fabric, fashion, food, woodworking, photography, sculpture, painting, poetry, stories, books, etc.(we think you get the idea), we want you there! The hope is that each creative pursuit can learn from the approach used by others (e.g., a quilter might learn new storytelling ideas from a cartoonist).
Format:
The event will be divided up between...
- A few presentations which are between 10-20 min. This year's speakers:
- Panel Discussion: Creativity and Prosperity During an Economic Downturn
- Panelists Include: Artist Lauren Lovato, StoryStudio Chicago founder and Author Jill Pollack, and Chicago Underground Library volunteer Kate Calahan
- Small "break out" sessions where you can meet presenters
- Time to socialize and meet new, creative people
